Ronnie out for Taylor revenge
07/04/2010
Ronnie is out to inflict The Power's first defeat in the 2010 Whyte & Mackay Premier League tomorrow night in Glasgow.
Taylor who is currently 5 points clear at the top, beat Ronnie 8-6 despite The Rocket shooting into a 4-0 lead.
"I've put the game in Bournemouth behind me now and I'm joint second in the league, but I'm looking forward to playing Phil" said Ronnie.
"I maight have to see if he can come back from me being 5-0 up this time, I've gone 3-0 up against him and lost in the past, I did 4-0 in Bournemouth and blew it, so we'll see what happens in Glasgow. I'll be pushing to win by whatever score I can."
Taylor and Baxter have often enjoyed battles in the past, The Power is impressed by Baxter's fine return to the top six of the PDC Order of Merit.
"Ronnie and myself started our careers around the same time and this is probably the best I've seen him play," said Taylor.
"If I don't play like I can on Thursday he'll beat me. He held 4-0 last time we played and I can't afford to do that again. I've been a bit slow at starting this season as it takes me a couple of legs to get used to the stage because the enviroment is different to the practice room, but I'm handling it pretty well so far."
Ronnie v Taylor will be shown as always live on Sky Sports tomorrow night.
