Ronnie into round 2 in Dinslaken

Ronnie Baxter overcame a strong challenge from Alan tabern to move into round 2 of The European Darts Championship 6-5.

Ronnie had to take out a 126 finish on the bull to book his place in round 2 after trailing 4-1 to tabern in the early stages. Double ten gave Baxter a lifeline, and then double 16 and tops squared the game up, only for Ronnie to miss 3 darts at a double and Tabern to take out 100 to move into the lead 5-4.

However Baxter took out double 11 to sqaure the match once more, and a brilliant 126 finish saw him book a place in round 2 against Wes Newton later this afternoon.
