Ronnie draws opening night of the Whyte and Mackay Premier League

Ronnie will be kicking himself after letting Terry Jenkins scramble a point on the opening night of the Whyte and Mackay Premier League Darts at The o2 Arena in London.
The Rocket seemed to be marking his return to the tournament with victory after going 7-5 up against the Ledbury based Jenkins, however The Bull who rarely gives up fought back to earn a point.
There were plenty of 180's a peice as both players struggled to hold there throw in the early stages, Ronnie pulled away leaving victory within 1 leg, however double top saw Terry pull back to 7-6 before being too strong in the final leg.
"I'm happy with a draw because it's a point on the table early doors. But I'm not happy with my performance" said Jenkins. "Early on I felt I should of been 3 or 4 legs, but Ronnie hit some 180's at the right time"
Baxter said "None of us could hold our throw early in the game, but I felt I was in control in the second half. When I went 7-5 up I wanted to put a good leg in, but that didn't happen, Terry stuck in there and got the draw"
Next week they move to Bournemouth for night 2 where Ronnie takes on World Number 1 Phil 'The Power' Taylor, who won his opening game 8-3 against Simon Whitlock.
