Ronnie made it through Round 1 of the PDC World Championships at a very snowy Alexander Palace in Northern London.
Baxter had to battle against Muramatsu who wasvery impressive earlier in the evening against Polish qualifier Kciuk.
The Lancastrian will now take on Scotsman, Gary Anderson for a place in the last 16.
Baxter broke throw at the start of the match, and won the next two legs in comfortable fashion to wrap up the first set.
Muramatsu hit a 177 in the opening leg of the second set, but Baxter still won by hitting double.
He then won the second leg against the darts and then won the next with a 65 finish to pull two sets clear.
Muramatsu hit a maximum at the start of the third set and won the leg by hitting double 10.
Baxter recorded a 68 finish to win the second leg and then broke throw in the third, after Muramatsu missed a dart at the bullseye.
That put Baxter a leg away from the match, and he wasted now time in getting over the winning line by hitting double 16.
